Santiago Posas is an associate at Oliverio & Marcaccio
LLP, where he represents a diverse group of clients in
all aspects of commercial and civil litigation. He is a
2015 graduate of Boston College Law School who began his
legal career at a prestigious Providence mid-sized law
firm where he focused his practice in commercial and
creditors’ rights litigation and employment law.
A native Spanish speaker, Santiago spent his childhood
in Guayaquil, Ecuador, before coming to the United
States for college. He attended Eugene Lang College,
part of The New School, in New York City before
relocating to Boston for law school. He is now a very
proud resident of Rhode Island.
In law school, Santiago was involved in the Law and
Religion Writing Program and the Latin American Law
Students Association. He also volunteered during his 1L
year with Lutheran Social Services conducting and
translating interviews with unaccompanied minors seeking
Special Immigrant Juvenile Status. The summer of his 2L
year, he clerked at the firm of Looney & Grossman LLP.
Santiago is admitted to practice in Rhode Island,
Massachusetts, the United States District of Rhode
Island, and the United States District of Massachusetts.
He is an active member of the Rhode Island Hispanic Bar
Association, the Massachusetts Association of Hispanic
Attorneys, and is a board member of Common Cause Rhode
